Introducing the SolaX X3-NEO-LV: A High-Efficiency Residential Inverter
The SolaX X3-NEO-LV inverter is the latest and most advanced addition to SolaX’s line of residential hybrid inverters, just released to improve upon the performance of its predecessor, the X3-Hybrid G4 (5-15kW). With key upgrades in PV oversizing, AC output, and startup voltage, the X3-NEO-LV offers cutting-edge solutions for modern residential energy systems, ensuring seamless operation in both on-grid and off-grid configurations.
Key Features of the SolaX X3-NEO-LV
High Efficiency and Flexibility: The X3-NEO-LV inverter supports up to 200% PV oversizing, enabling the connection of additional PV modules without the need for multiple inverters, significantly increasing energy production potential (up from 150% in the G4). The inverter also offers 110% rated AC output and 200% peak EPS (Emergency Power Supply) apparent power for up to 10 seconds, an upgrade from the 150% peak EPS capability in the G4.
Extended Solar Operation: The X3-NEO-LV's low startup voltage of 160V allows it to begin operation earlier and continue later in the day, maximizing daily energy capture (improving from 180V in the G4). It also supports a maximum DC input current of 18A per channel, which allows the inverter to handle the latest high-power PV modules more effectively than the G4, which supported 16A per channel.
Enhanced Safety Features: The X3-NEO-LV offers robust safety features, including an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor installations. The built-in Surge Protection Device (SPD) shields the system from electrical surges caused by lightning or grid instability, ensuring a longer lifespan for both the inverter and connected devices. Additionally, the optional Arc Fault Circuit Interruption (AFCI) feature enhances fire safety by detecting electrical arcs and shutting down the system if necessary. These safety features make the X3-NEO-LV a reliable choice for residential energy systems.
Super EPS Backup Function, Even Without a Battery: One of the standout features of the X3-NEO-LV is its Super EPS backup capability, which can provide emergency power even in the absence of a battery. This feature ensures that essential loads remain powered during grid outages, offering greater flexibility and reliability, especially for installations where battery storage is not available or required.
Fast Response and Intelligent Operation: The X3-NEO-LV features a faster UPS-level switching time of less than 4 milliseconds, providing seamless power transitions—a significant improvement over the G4’s 10 milliseconds. This faster response time is crucial for sensitive electrical appliances like computers, medical devices, and home automation systems, which may experience disruptions or resets during a 10ms switch. With a 4ms switching time, these devices continue operating smoothly without interruption. The inverter also supports parallel operation with up to 10 units for scalability in large residential and small commercial systems. The built-in shadow tracking algorithm ensures optimal energy production in partially shaded conditions.
Load Response and Integration: The X3-NEO-LV is CT-compatible and features intelligent load management with fast load response times of just 0.3 seconds, improving efficiency by quickly adapting to changing energy demands. It also supports integration with energy storage and generator systems, offering flexibility in various residential configurations.
