Jinko Solar
Founded in China in 2006, the company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010 and on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2022. Their first business was the production of silicon ingots and cells for solar panels, and later they started to focus on the full-scale production of solar panels. By 2020, they had grown to become the world's largest manufacturer thanks to continuous innovation and premium products. By 2023, they will supply more than 3,000 customers in 160 countries. With 7 factories and 14 subsidiaries, their annual production capacity will reach 75 GW for silicon arrays, 75 GW for solar cells and 90 GW for solar modules by the end of 2023. In research and development, they have more than 1,000 employees and will reach 150 gigawatts of solar modules delivered in early 2023.

N-type panels
N-type solar modules incorporate several innovative technologies. Among them is the MBB (Multi Busbar) technology, where the solar panel is equipped with 9-18 busbars, which means that it provides more power thanks to the metal busbar running between the cells. And thanks to Hot 2.0 technology, the modules function with increased reliability throughout their lifetime.
The "busbars" on the modules are the thinner metal wire strands that are used to transport electrons through the solar cell.
The increased reliability is reflected in the linear performance guarantee; at the end of the full 30-year performance guarantee, the solar panel's performance at Jinko should not be less than 87.4%, which means a degradation of only 0.42% per year.
P-type panels
These solar panels are based on half-cell technology. Instead of the standard 60-72 cells in a solar module, there are 120 or 144 half cells. The advantage of this is that the smaller cells have less current, so there is less resistance loss and the cells can produce more energy. Smaller cells are subject to less mechanical stress, reducing the risk of small cracks.
They have a slightly lower efficiency compared to N-type cells. At the end of the full 25-year performance guarantee, the solar panel performance should not be less than 84.8%, which means a degradation of only 0.55% per year.
The most significant difference between Jinko's N-type and P-type solar cells is the coating of the silicon wafers. While the wafers of P-type modules are alloyed with boron, those of N-type modules are alloyed with phosphorus. The importance of this really comes into play in space exploration. N-type solar cells are more resistant to unfiltered UV C radiation than P-type cells, due to the molecular composition of the wafer mentioned earlier.
Both the N-type and the P-type modules have exceptionally high efficiencies, with 470 Wp cells having an efficiency of 21.78% and 565 Wp cells having an efficiency of 21.87%.
