The Huawei LUNA2000 battery has a modular design. The system consists of a power supply and one or more battery modules. The power supply module has a standard capacity of 5 kW and the battery expansion modules have a standard capacity of 5 kWh each.

The LUNA2000 is modularly expandable and can be connected in series. A maximum of three modules per storage tower, 15 kWh of usable storage capacity, can be achieved. 2 charge controllers can be connected to an inverter at the same time, for a total of 30 kWh of storage capacity.
