Fox 3-phase hybrid inverter + 12 kWh high-voltage battery pack

This package is a three-phase, high-voltage (HV) hybrid energy storage solution that provides a complete system for residential use with a selection of 5-15 kW inverters and a 12 kWh battery. The goal is simple: to use as much of the solar energy generated locally as possible and to manage the energy flow in a stable manner through storage, timing, and backup operation. The package is available in 6 inverter power ratings (5/6/8/10/12/15 kW), each paired with a 12 kWh battery.

What's included in the package

The package consists of a Fox H3 Smart three-phase hybrid inverter and a Fox EP12 Plus high-voltage energy storage unit. The inverter is designed for HV batteries, and the battery is based on LFP (LiFePO₄) technology with CAN communication. The EP12 Plus has a nominal energy capacity of 11.52 kWh at 90% DoD and is suitable for outdoor installation with IP65 protection and heating.

Who is it a good choice for and what kind of projects is it suitable for?

This solution is ideal for those who are considering a three-phase system and for whom energy storage, high self-consumption, and the ability to charge/discharge the system on a scheduled basis (e.g., based on tariff strategy or own consumption profile) are important. 5-6 kW inverters are typically suitable for average residential consumption, while 8-10 kW is often used for electric heating assistance or to serve larger daytime loads, and 12-15 kW is realistic for larger households, multiple electrical consumers, or more pronounced backup needs.

Operation and energy management in brief

The essence of a hybrid system is that it intelligently distributes solar power generation between consumption and storage: when there is generation, it primarily serves local consumption, and the surplus is stored in the battery. When generation decreases, the battery is able to feed back into the house/site, thus reducing the amount of energy consumed from the grid. The three-phase asymmetric inverter design is a stable solution even where consumption distribution varies from phase to phase.

Battery: 12 kWh HV, LFP and expandability

The Fox EP12 Plus is a high-voltage LFP battery with a nominal voltage of 384 V and an operating range of 348-438 V. The system supports 90% DoD, high efficiency, and IP65 protection, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. An important advantage is that the platform is scalable: by installing additional batteries in parallel, the capacity can be expanded up to 46.08 kWh (max. 4 units).

Inverter: three-phase hybrid platform up to 5–15 kW

The Fox H3 Smart three-phase hybrid inverter family is available in several power levels between 5 and 15 kW and is specifically designed for high-voltage batteries. The battery voltage range is 100–800 V, communication is CAN-based, the device housing has IP65 protection, and remote monitoring is also supported. The platform works with multiple MPPTs, allowing for flexible design even with more complex roof layouts.
