Product warranty overview – Huawei, Deye, and SolaX inverters and energy storage systems
Huawei warranty terms
For Huawei inverters and energy storage devices, the warranty period depends on the product type and whether the device is connected to a monitoring system:
- For inverters, the basic warranty is generally 10 years (5 years for some products), which can be extended to 5, 10 or even 15 years if the device is continuously connected to the FusionSolar Smart PVMS system. This applies, for example, to the SUN2000 and SUN5000 series.
- Energy management devices are covered by a 2-year warranty, while optimizers are covered by a 25-year warranty.
- For LUNA2000 batteries, the warranty is 10 years or a specified energy output (e.g. 16.45 MWh or 28.84 MWh). The battery life may be affected by lack of connection to the system and delays in installation.
- In the event of a warranty claim, the serial number, log files, alarm code and description are required. The defective product must be returned within 15 days of receipt of the replacement device.
- In certain cases, the installer's call-out fee and certain shipping costs will also be reimbursed.

Deye warranty terms
Deye SUN series hybrid inverters are covered by a 10-year warranty in Europe:
- The warranty covers the main units of the inverter, the LCD, the cooling fan, and any malfunctions resulting from material or manufacturing defects.
- Repairs or replacements will be made at Deye's discretion, using new or refurbished parts.
- The serial number and purchase invoice are required for servicing. After repair, the warranty period is at least 90 days or the remainder of the original period.
- The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, power surges or force, or damage to the casing.
- Deye inverters must be installed on a stable wall and the warranty is only valid for installations in Europe.

Solax warranty terms
For Solax inverters and energy storage devices, the warranty system also depends on the product type and connection to the Solax Cloud system:
- Inverters (e.g. X1/X3 Hybrid, MIC, Boost, G4) come with a 5-year basic warranty, which is automatically extended to 10 years if the inverter is connected to the Solax Cloud system and data has been uploaded.
- EV chargers have a 3-year warranty, while various data collection devices, CTs, and EPS boxes have a warranty of between 2 and 5 years.
- Lithium-ion batteries come with a 10-year warranty or a specified energy output (e.g. 17.9 MWh) as the performance guarantee limit. Strict temperature requirements must be observed during operation and storage.
- The ESS-Aelio system comes with a 5-year warranty on the inverter and control cabinet, while the battery (TP-HR140) has a performance guarantee of 10 years or 87.7 MWh.
- An RMA form and invoice are required for fault reporting. The faulty device must be returned within 6 weeks.
- Warranty exclusions include improper installation, products purchased from unofficial sources, and unapproved hardware/software from third parties.
- If, after the reported fault has been investigated, the device is found to be fault-free, the delivery costs shall be borne by the contractor.

Product warranty: up to 25 years
Tongwei offers a product warranty of 12 or 15 years, depending on the type of solar panel. This warranty covers material defects and manufacturing faults that significantly affect the function or performance of the solar panel. The warranty period begins upon delivery, but no later than 6 months after manufacture.
Performance warranty: up to 30 years
Tongwei's performance warranty for its panels is among the best in the industry. With a 30-year performance warranty, the panels are evaluated by the manufacturer according to the following performance limits:
- After the first year: maximum 1% performance reduction
- Years 2–30: maximum 0.4% decrease per year (depending on type)
- Guaranteed minimum at the end of the 30th year: at least 87.4% of the original rated power
This performance guarantee is particularly important for those who are planning for the long term and want to be sure that their installed solar power system will deliver a stable yield.
Enforcing warranty claims
If the performance of the solar panel does not reach the guaranteed level and the defect can be proven to be due to manufacturing, Tongwei offers the following solutions:
- repair,
- replacement
- provision of additional modules (for performance compensation),
- or partial refund.
The manufacturer will cover the shipping costs, but the customer is responsible for the costs of removal, reinstallation, and other logistics.
When is the warranty not valid?
The warranty does not cover the following cases:
- improper installation or maintenance,
- extreme environmental conditions (e.g., acidic environment, extreme heat),
- use of non-original parts,
- improper relocation to another installation site,
- or if the warranty claim is not reported by the buyer within the specified 30 days.
