Shipping Terms

This page summarizes SOLARKIT’s shipping terms and the procedures to follow when receiving your order. We describe in detail exactly what you need to do and document in each case—so that you can exercise your right to file a claim in the event of damage or discrepancies.
How We Ship
We work with trusted logistics partners—primarily within the European Union, but other international destinations are also available upon request. We do not charge any additional handling fees for shipping beyond the carrier’s fees and any applicable customs duties.
Shipping Destinations
-
Main coverage: Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania
-
In addition to these main countries, we cover the entire European Union, including the Baltic States, Scandinavia, and the Iberian Peninsula. Certain islands are exceptions—such as the Republic of Cyprus—and fall under the “other destination countries” category.
-
Other destination countries: We can offer solutions based on individual arrangements.
Delivery Time and Storage
Lead time depends on product availability and the destination. The delivery time is calculated from the date of payment for the purchased product: once payment is received, we will contact you to coordinate the expected delivery date.
IMPORTANT
We will hold your order for up to 4 days after payment at no additional charge. A storage fee will be charged for products that have been ordered but not picked up within the timeframe specified in the contract.
Tracking
For consolidated shipments, tracking is available. We will send you the tracking information after the goods have been picked up.
We cannot provide tracking information for full or partial loads. We will provide information on the shipment’s status upon individual request.
In-Person Pickup — SOLARKIT Warehouse
In the case of in-person pickup at our Budapest warehouse, the customer is required to inspect the goods item by item and visually verify them before acceptance.
IMPORTANT
If a product is damaged, you must refuse delivery on the spot and report the defect immediately. By accepting the goods, you acknowledge that the product was delivered to you in undamaged condition.

Steps to Follow Upon Receiving the Goods
The following procedures must be followed upon receipt of each shipment. Upon receipt, the customer must inspect the products for quality and quantity. If you find any discrepancies or damage, be sure to report them and have them noted on the delivery slip. If there are no comments on the delivery note at the time of signing, the delivery will be considered error-free.
IMPORTANT — 3-BUSINESS-DAY RULE
Please report any damage or discrepancies to us within 3 business days of receipt at the latest, attaching photographic documentation and the serial numbers (SN) of the damaged products. We cannot accept complaints after this deadline.
- Check the quantity and quality of the products. You may open the package if you can reseal it securely.
- If everything is in order, sign the delivery note.
IMPORTANT
A signature without any comments = acceptance without defects. Claims regarding damage or quantity cannot be submitted after this point.
- Check the quantity and quality.
- Compare your order with the delivery note and the quantity actually received.
- Have the carrier prepare an on-site report documenting the quantity discrepancy.
- Take photographs and attach them to your complaint.
- You may accept the products conditionally by writing a note on the delivery note—provided that the products themselves are undamaged.
IMPORTANT
Accepting the goods conditionally with a written note preserves your right to file a complaint. Without a note, you cannot file a complaint.
- Check the quantity and quality.
- If the packaging is damaged but the products are intact and the correct quantity has been delivered, you may accept the shipment.
- Have the carrier prepare an on-site report documenting the damage to the packaging and the intact condition of the product.
- Take photographs and attach them to your complaint.
- Write a note on the delivery slip and accept the shipment conditionally.
IMPORTANT
A note written on the delivery slip preserves your right to file a claim if hidden damage is discovered later.
- Check the quantity and quality.
- If the product is damaged, refuse delivery. Exception: When purchasing solar panels, you do not need to refuse delivery.
- Have the carrier prepare an on-site report documenting the damage.
- Take photographs and attach them to your complaint.
- Return the product via the carrier.
- SOLARKIT will send a replacement—you will receive a new, undamaged product.
IMPORTANT
Refusing delivery protects your rights. If you sign the delivery receipt for the damaged product without any comments, you will forfeit your right to a replacement.
- Check the quantity and quality.
- Compare the product you received with your order and the delivery slip.
- Take photos and attach them to your complaint.
- Please contact us—we’ll work together to determine the next steps.
IMPORTANT
Do not return or discard the product without prior consultation.
Shuttle service from the SOLARKIT warehouse
In all cases, we take photos of the products before loading to verify that they are undamaged at the time of shipment.
Documentation required for filing a claim
We cannot accept a claim without the proper documentation—neither from the carrier nor the insurance company. This is not a mere formality, but a legal requirement for asserting a claim.
In the event of damage or discrepancies, please send the following information to SOLARKIT immediately:
-
A copy of the waybill, CMR, or digital delivery receipt documenting the damage (in photo or scanned form, in legible quality)
-
The relevant Sales Order (SO) number
-
Affected part number
-
Quantity of damaged items
-
The factory serial number(s) of the damaged product(s)
-
Photographs documenting the damage
IMPORTANT
The delivery note, CMR, or digital receipt document should only be signed after a visual inspection of the shipment. The fact of the damage must be noted on the document before signing. If this is not done, the carrier and the insurer are entitled to reject the claim.
Damaged solar panel — special rule
In the case of a damaged solar panel, return is not possible. The process is as follows:
-
The damaged panel remains with the customer.
-
SOLARKIT will provide a replacement panel if it is proven that the damage occurred during delivery.
IMPORTANT — REPORTING DEADLINES
Visible damage: immediate on-site report with the driver, signed. The fact of the damage must be noted on the delivery slip before signing.
Minor or uncertain damage: Sign for conditional acceptance on both the driver’s and SOLARKIT’s delivery slips.
Submission of complete documentation: no later than 3 business days after receipt.
