FoxESS H3-50 / H3-100 / H3-125 Plus Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter

The FoxESS H3 Plus series is a high-performance, three-phase hybrid inverter family designed specifically for commercial and industrial energy storage systems. The inverter not only manages solar power generation but also works with battery storage and backup operation, making it the foundation for complex energy management solutions.

The system is capable of directly consuming energy, charging a battery, or feeding it back into the grid, with operation based on available PV generation and the configured logic.

Hybrid Operation and Energy Storage

One of the greatest advantages of the H3 Plus series is that it is a full-featured energy storage inverter. It supports lithium-ion batteries and even allows for the parallel connection of multiple batteries. The system can intelligently manage charging and discharging, thereby optimizing self-consumption and reducing grid energy demand.

In backup mode, the inverter can supply power to loads even during a power outage. The system can be configured for full-house or partial backup mode, depending on which loads are prioritized.

Performance and System Configuration

The series is available in 50, 100, and 125 kW versions, and all three models operate with high efficiency of up to 98.5%. The inverters operate within a wide MPPT range (180–850 V) and can handle DC input voltages of up to 1000 V, providing sufficient flexibility for designing larger systems.

The larger models allow for the connection of multiple strings, making them better suited for larger rooftop or ground-mounted installations. The system’s internal architecture includes separate PV inputs, battery management, and an EPS (backup) output.

Protection and Smart Features

The inverters feature advanced protection and diagnostic functions, including arc fault protection (AFCI), overvoltage protection, insulation monitoring, and anti-islanding. These not only enhance system safety but also facilitate rapid fault detection.

In addition, intelligent monitoring, I/V diagnostics, and remote monitoring are available via a mobile app or web interface, allowing for continuous monitoring of system operation.

Differences between the models

The main differences between the three models lie in performance and scalability. The 50 kW version is ideal for smaller industrial systems, while the 100 and 125 kW models are designed to serve larger consumers or more complex energy storage projects.

The larger models handle more PV inputs and higher DC power, making them better suited for larger arrays. Additionally, the maximum AC power and current ratings increase proportionally, which is an important consideration for grid-side design.

SOLARKIT Reviews

The FoxESS H3 Plus series is a particularly robust solution for those building not just a solar system, but a complete energy storage system. Hybrid operation, backup capability, and high power output combine to create a highly flexible system.

What is particularly positive is that these inverters are designed with BESS in mind from the outset; the battery function isn’t just an afterthought. Because of this, they are much better suited for larger, commercial, or industrial projects.

Overall, this is a modern, scalable, and easily integrable hybrid inverter family that provides a solid foundation even for large-scale projects.
