This product is Huawei’s 215 kW, three-phase, 800 V output string inverter for commercial and industrial (C&I) solar power systems. It is not a hybrid inverter—it is intended exclusively for on-grid operation, and no battery is connected directly to it. It is part of the high-performance Huawei SUN2000 series, designed specifically for large rooftop and ground-mounted power plants.

What is it used for?

Typical applications include industrial hall roofs, logistics centers, agricultural buildings, and small-to-medium-sized solar farms. A single unit delivers approximately 200 kW of AC power, making it suitable for serving a 250–280 kWp section. It is intended for projects with an 800V AC collection network (upstream of the substation), rather than a standard 400V low-voltage distribution network.

How does it work?

The inverter operates with 3 independent MPPT trackers, each with a 100 A input current—this is a level that is already realistic for today’s 600W+ bifacial modules and does not create a bottleneck. It is built with a 1500V DC side, so longer strings can be designed for it, with fewer cables and lower losses.

The fuse-free design is an advantage from a maintenance perspective: there are no DC fuses that blow and need to be replaced. Instead, it features built-in intelligent string-level disconnectors and continuous string fault monitoring, which immediately alerts the monitoring system if a string underperforms or fails.
