SolaX X3-NEO-10K-LV Hybrid Inverter

The SolaX X3-NEO-LV series is a 10 kW, three-phase, low-voltage (for 48V batteries) hybrid inverter. It is designed for systems where solar power generation, battery storage, and grid connection must be managed simultaneously—all in one device, with a single controller.

What is it used for?

Typical applications range from medium-sized family homes to larger rural properties, where the electrical system is three-phase and 48V LFP or lead-acid battery packs are planned for use. It works well as a grid-connected system, in off-grid mode, or in hybrid mode (grid + EPS backup). It can also be used in microgrid installations and generator-based hybrid solutions where the grid is weak or intermittent.

How does it work?

The inverter operates with 2 MPPT inputs, each with a 36 A input current, so there is no need to compromise even with more powerful modules and larger strings. On the PV side, it allows for 200% oversizing, meaning a panel as large as 20 kWp can feed into the 10 kW nominal AC output—this provides a more realistic yield on cloudy days.

In the event of a power outage, the switchover takes less than 3 ms, practically at UPS level—critical loads (refrigerator, router, boiler control) do not drop out. On the backup side, it can withstand a 200% overload (20 kVA) for 10 seconds, which is critical for motor starting loads (pumps, air conditioning, deep wells).

Technical and system-level advantages

Battery side: Compatible with both 48V LFP and lead-acid batteries, within a 40–60 V voltage range. It features built-in battery terminal temperature monitoring, which ensures a longer service life and safer charging cycles.

Grid side: 3 units can be paralleled in both on-grid and off-grid modes, allowing the system to scale up to 30 kW as a single logical unit. Type II surge protection is factory-installed on both the AC and DC sides; AFCI arc fault protection is available as an option.

Protection rating: IP65, so outdoor installation is possible without any issues.

SOLARKIT Reviews

This inverter is ideal for installers planning a hybrid system with a 48V battery for a three-phase single-family home who also want a proper backup function—an EPS that can handle not just nominal loads but also inrush currents. The 200% PV oversizing is a significant practical advantage: you can confidently design an 18–20 kWp panel array for it, and the difference will be noticeable even during winter or cloudy conditions.
