SolaX 3 phase CT smart meter up to 100 A
SolaX M3-40 / M3-40-Dual – Three-phase CT smart meter up to 100A
The SolaX M3-40 and M3-40-Dual are three-phase CT smart meters designed for use with SolaX hybrid invertersto measure grid energy in real time. The M3-40 is a single-circuit model, while the M3-40-Dual is a dual-circuit model—the latter is capable of simultaneously measuring and separating energy from the grid and from a third-party inverter.
M3-40 vs M3-40-Dual – what’s the difference?
The M3-40 is a standard three-phase meter that can be connected to the inverter via an RS485 cable or Wi-Fi wireless communication. The M3-40-Dual features two independent measurement channels, allowing it to simultaneously measure grid energy flow and the output of another—non-SolaX—inverter. This is ideal for hybrid systems where multiple inverter brands are present.
50 ms update rate and smart installation
Both models operate with a 50 ms data refresh rate, enabling precise, real-time control of the zero-export function. Intelligent phase sequence and CT polarity detection automatically corrects installation errors, ensuring the meter functions correctly even if the CT is accidentally installed backwards. Settings can be configured remotely via the SolaX Cloud app.
Technical specifications
The M3-40 measures 45×100×65.5 mm, and the M3-40-Dual measures 72×100×65.5 mm; both can be mounted on a DIN35 rail. Operating temperature: –40°C to +70°C, IP20 protection. Measurement accuracy: voltage/current Class 0.5, active power Class 1. Recommended CT specifications: from 100 A/40 mA to 2000 A/40 mA, covering a very wide current range. The separation of high- and low-voltage circuits provides enhanced safety. The products can be found in the measuring instrumentscategory.
SOLARKIT Reviews
The SolaX M3-40 is the three-phase counterpart to the M1-40—same speed, same smart installation features, for three-phase networks. The M3-40-Dual offers exceptional value in hybrid systems where not only SolaX but also other inverters’ output needs to be measured. Both are recommended for use with SolaX hybrid inverterswhere accurate and fast energy measurement is required.
