The Huawei Smart Dongle-WLAN-FE (SDongleA-05) is a USB-connected, plug-and-play Wi-Fi communication module that connects Huawei invertersto the FusionSolar cloud platform via a home Wi-Fi network or a direct Ethernet connection. With its dual AP+STA operating mode, it can function simultaneously as both an access point and a client, enabling particularly flexible local and cloud-based monitoring.
AP+STA mode – what makes this dongle different?
Unlike traditional Wi-Fi dongles, the SDongleA-05 connects to the local Wi-Fi router (STA mode) and functions as its own access point (AP mode) simultaneously in AP+STA mode. This means that the installer’s mobile phone can connect directly to the dongle’s AP for local configuration, while the inverter’s data is simultaneously uploaded to the FusionSolar cloud.
10/100M Ethernet interface
The WLAN-FE dongle also features a 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet interface, allowing it to connect to the network not only via Wi-Fi but also via a wired LAN—this is particularly useful if the Wi-Fi signal is not strong enough near the inverter. It can manage up to 10 inverters simultaneously and is compatible with third-party monitoring systems.
