What is it used for?

It is used for tile-roof installations, typically in residential and smaller C&I (commercial and industrial) systems, where the panels are mounted on traditional interlocking or corrugated tiles. It is particularly useful when the exact location of the rafters differs from the planned panel grid, or when height adjustments are needed due to the thickness of the tiles. It can be used on both new and renovated roofs, provided the roof structure has sufficient load-bearing capacity.

How does it work?

You screw the base of the hook to the rafter, then adjust the upward-pointing L-shaped arm so that it extends beneath the tile without pressing down on the roof covering. Thanks to its adjustable design, the hook’s height can be varied within the range of 178–188 mm, allowing it to fit various tile profiles precisely without having to remove or cut into the tiles. An aluminum mounting rail is placed on top of the hook, to which the end clamps and intermediate clamps secure the panels—thus, the hook transfers the entire mechanical load (panel weight + wind and snow loads) to the roof structure.

Technical and System-Level Advantages

The load-bearing component is made of AL6005-T5 aluminum alloy, while the bolted components are made of SUS304 stainless steel—this combination is corrosion-resistant over the long term and remains stable in terms of thermal expansion and galvanic corrosion. It is compatible with the Enerack mounting rail system (3.5 m and 4.2 m side-mountable rails) as well as with the intermediate and end clamps, thus providing the installer with a uniform, single-source mounting system. One box contains 32 pieces, which covers the total hook requirement for an average residential system (approx. 16 panels).

Differences Compared to the T01 and T06 Models

The T01 is a fixed hook: it’s cheaper, but its height isn’t adjustable, so it’s only a good choice if the tile profile and rafter position match exactly. The T06 is also adjustable but features a base plate with a different geometry, typically suited for thinner tile profiles. The T08 is the logical choice when you need to accommodate thicker, higher-profile roof tiles, or when the contractor doesn’t want to risk having to make adjustments later because of a fixed hook.

Important to know

The hook alone is not a complete fastening solution—it is not functional without a mounting rail, clamps, and appropriate roof screws. The roof’s load-bearing capacity must always be verified by a local structural engineer or architect; the point load transferred by the hook must be borne by the rafter. When replacing tiles or repairing broken tiles, it is critical to carefully reinstall the roofing material around the hook to ensure watertightness.
