Why is a meter needed with an EV charger?

Charging an electric vehicle places a high and fluctuating load on the grid. The DTSU666-FE continuously measures the household’s total energy consumption and provides real-time data to the charger. Thanks to this, the system dynamically regulates charging power: if the solar panels generate enough energy, the charger speeds up; if grid capacity is limited, it automatically slows down.

Accuracy and Communication

The DTSU666-FE operates with Class 1 measurement accuracy: voltage ±0.5%, current and energy ±1%, frequency ±0.01 Hz.
