Huawei SmartModule1000A01 – Expansion Module for the SmartLogger3000A

The Huawei SmartModule1000A01 is an expansion module that extends the communication and I/O capabilities of the Huawei SmartLogger3000A. It can be physically connected to the SmartLogger (via a connection board or integrated onto a DIN rail) and doubles the number of available communication ports, enabling centralized management of larger and more complex solar systems.

What does the SmartModule add to the SmartLogger?

The SmartModule1000A01 adds 3 COM (RS485) ports, 4 GE (Gigabit Ethernet) ports, 4 DI digital inputs, 4 AI analog inputs, and PT100/PT1000 temperature sensor connectivity to the system. This allows you to significantly increase the number of inverters, meters, environmental monitors, and other RS485 devices without having to install a new SmartLogger.

Wall- and DIN-rail mountable

The SmartModule1000A01 can be mounted independently on a DIN rail or on a wall using the mounting plate that connects it to the SmartLogger. Dimensions: 179×160×59 mm (384×160 mm with SmartLogger), weight: approx. 1 kg. Power is supplied via the SmartLogger’s 24V output, so a separate power supply is not required. Compatible with the Huawei communication ecosystem.

LED Indicators and Diagnostics

The SmartModule1000A01 features RUN and ALM LED indicators that immediately signal the communication status and any errors. The RST button can also be used to restore factory settings. The module also plays a key role in the SmartLogger-based control network of Huawei energy storage systems(e.g., LUNA2000-H1 commercial battery).
