Mountkit engineered by Enerack – Mechanical Load Test on Roof Hooks and Rails
In this video, we demonstrate the mechanical testing of three roof hooks and three rails under real load scenarios.
The purpose of the test is to show at which point a component begins to deform, how its shape changes under pressure, and what kind of behavior it exhibits when force is applied from different directions.
Mountkit is SOLARKIT’s own mounting-structure brand, manufactured by Enerack. Enerack is known for reliable, precise, and long-lasting engineering solutions, and Mountkit is built on the same foundation. The product line is designed to make installation simple, fast, and stable.
During the test shown in the video, the equipment compresses the components to simulate wind, storm, and snow loads. We observe the exact force at which movement begins, when deformation first appears, and when more significant bending occurs. Rail testing is carried out on a rafter-span support with point load applied.
Why do we perform these tests?
Our goal is to ensure that the mounting structure behaves on the roof exactly the way it was designed to.
At SOLARKIT, we place great emphasis on verifying that the manufacturer’s technical data is backed by real, measurable results. For this reason, we perform our own tests in addition to the data provided, giving our partners transparent, real, and comparable load results.
In the video, we test two competitor hooks and rails alongside the Mountkit components.
Every element is tested on the same equipment, allowing clear and fair comparison.
Watch the video to see how each mounting component performs — and decide for yourself which one stands out.
The intention is not to emphasize competition but to ensure professional clarity. The mounting structure is the part of the system that must perform even when no one sees it. This is why we work to ensure that Mountkit, manufactured by Enerack, provides a stable and predictable foundation for every installation.
📐 Structural Report – The foundation of safe installation
SOLARKIT’s structural report service helps determine the correct weight distribution and system configuration for each project.
The process is simple:
Our partners fill out a short questionnaire about the roof characteristics and installation requirements: https://shop.solar-kit.eu/en/flatroof-project-report
Our specialists prepare detailed structural calculations.
The report ensures that the solar system is neither too heavy nor too light.
Why does this matter?
If the system is too heavy, the roof structure may not be able to support it.
If the system is too light, it may shift position or even detach from the roof during strong winds, causing significant damage.
Accurate structural calculations ensure the correct balance, enabling a stable, reliable, and safe installation under all weather conditions.
