⚡ What is behind Gyermely's success?

The SOLARKIT team designed and implemented the 2.5 MW solar panel system and 1.2 MWh energy storage system that helps the Gyermelyi pasta factory operate using solar energy, thereby reducing the environmental impact of its production.

🛠️ What technology is behind the system?

- During production, we used Tongwei 555Wp bifacial panels, which are capable of generating energy from both sides. This significantly increases performance, as the rear side of the panel also utilizes light from the environment. The panels are positioned using a single-axis rotation system, which ensures that they are always at the optimal angle to the sun, as they track the sun's movement.

- Energy storage is a key component of this system. The 1.2 MWh capacity of the Huawei LUNA2000-200KWh batteries allows the factory to store the energy it generates. This technology not only ensures continuity of daily operations, but also helps to optimize daily energy demand.

Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M2 inverters provide seamless power transmission and optimal energy management for the system. The inverters help maximize energy production efficiency and ensure that the energy generated is efficiently delivered to the factory.

🌱 Why is this project important?

This project is not only an important step towards sustainability, but also sets a real example for Hungarian industry. Gyermelyi pasta, a Hungarian brand with a long history, now uses green energy for its daily operations, reducing its ecological footprint and helping to reduce its environmental impact.

📈 Impact and return on investment

The initial investment will pay for itself in the long term, reducing production costs while covering part of the energy demand from the company's own resources. The payback period for industrial solar panel systems is around 3-7 years, which is an excellent business decision considering the volatility of energy prices.
